Be a hero in your community!

Do you know that there are poeple who live near you, that you could help?   There are many organizations and people in your area who may need help, including:

  • The local food bank or soup kitchens
  • The local animal shelter
  • The local zoo
  • Seniors homes
  • Local hospitals
  • Local charities

Here are some ideas for ways you can help out in your community.

  • Visit elderly people who may be all alone, with your Mom & Dad
  • Collect non-perishable foods for  your local food bank
  • Organize a bake sale and give the proceed to a worthly cause in your area
  • Host your birthday to fund raise for a local community organization
  • Organize a penny drive and ask people you know for their small change to help a worthy cause
  • Ask your neighbourhood bakery if you can take the leftovers to a soup kitchen with your parents

You can be featured here on our Website.  Send us your ideas at heroes@smallshifts.com.  With your parent's permission, you can send us a photo too of you helping out in the community and we'll post it on our Website.  We'll send you a free e-book activity book!
